The first online meeting between KU Bedër and the Oxford Interfaith Forum takes place
After signing a few days ago the cooperation agreement between Bedër University College and the Interfaith Forum of Oxford in the United Kingdom (Oxford Interfaith Forum), on April 4, 2023, the first online meeting between the two institutions took place.
The rector of Bedër University College Prof. participated in this meeting. Dr. Gjergji Sinani, Dr. Thea Gomelauri, head of the Interreligious Forum of Oxford, vice-rector of the university Dr. Isa Erbas and Prof. Assoc. Dr. Genti Kruja, lecturer at the Department of Islamic Sciences.
During this meeting, it was discussed about the implementation of the points of the agreement as soon as possible, which consist in the promotion of reading in the field of interreligious dialogue lessons to develop an international academic community, the mobility of academic staff and students of the university and especially of the Department of Islamic Sciences for deepening academic knowledge in the field of religion in short-term and long-term visits to the University of Oxford, etc.
According to the agreement signed between the two institutions, the persons responsible for its implementation, Dr. Thea Gomelauri, Director of the Oxford Interfaith Forum and Prof. Assoc. Dr. Genti Kruja, lecturer at Bedër University College will also be honorary members of the partner institution, respectively: Dr. Thea Gomelauri will be Honorary Professor in the Department of Islamic Sciences, KU Bedër and Prof. Assoc. Dr. Genti Kruja member of the Board of the Oxford Interfaith Forum.
