Description The language is a core element of our life. It helps to make possible the communication in our life and at the same time, it shapes our structues of thinking and the way we communicate our thoughts. This is why the better we use the language, the better we get to know ourselves and present our personality to the society. This course aims to give to the students general and special skills in using the albanian language; by improving their skills in writng of the albanian language and by developing their speaking abilities in discourses and different discussions.
Objectives • To present the students with the basic rules of the art of writing. • To learn the basic issues of the morphological and syntactic regulations. • To make the students achieve better acts of communication through the normative discourse. • To create their papers, writings, studies, diploma etc. through a specialised and normative language. • To encourage the critical approach on the language matters and on the corretion in the cases when the albanian language is not uses correctly.
Course Outline

1The art of writing. - Rules of artistic and scientific writing. Stages of writing (writing planning, writing, rewriting).
2Writing an article - the text, conjunctions text, paragraph, quotes and notes, press preparation of a document.
3Rewriting - editing and correction. Editing. Correction. Signs of correction. Word Borrowings types. - Foreign words in Albanian.
4The standard Albanian language norms. The locutions of writing correctly.
5The noun, its grammatical gender and flexion. The use of proper nouns. Plural form of nouns in Albanian.
6Errors in writing names flexion forms, plural names. Rules of plural names forming. Normative plural forms.
7The types of pronouns. The flexure of the reflexive and possessive pronoun. The composite short forms in Albanian. The orthography of composite short forms in Albanian.
8Midterm Exam
9The verb - the verb classification. The Origin of verbal forms. Spelling rules. The imperative verb.
10Syntax issues. - Composition order of sentences in Albanian. The adjustment of the verb related to the subject . Adjective order related to the noun.
11Adjusting the determinants with the nouns. Adaptation of tenses in the composite sentences.
12The avoidance of foreign words during written and spoken language. Foreign prepositional phrase and replacement of them with the tools of Albanian.
13Purity of vocabulary. Fake friends ((gr. Παρόνιμ).
14The deformation of language and the uses of the phrases incorrectly.
15Foreign verb composites. Albanian words instead of the foreign ones. Orthography rules of names of foreign origin.
