University College Bedër and the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace signed in Malta a memorandum of collaboration for promoting tolerance, dialogue and peace. The agreement was signed by the Rector of Bedër, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana and the President of the GCTP, Dr. Ahmed Mohamad Al Jarwan. The Parties will engage in the organization of international conferences, the development of scientific research, the involvement of students and staff in projects aiming at promoting tolerance, dialogue and peace.
In addition, Prof. Gjana participated in a symposium organized by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, where he gave a presentation on “Teaching tolerance and dialogue in higher education as a need for a more secure and peaceful world: Case of Albania”. The symposium organized at the University of Malta, under the patronage of the President of Malta, Dr. George Vella, was attended by scholars from various countries of the world.
